I had a chance to buy a couple of Ferraris back in those days...a coupe for $1600 (broken transaxle, no spare parts even in the Old Country) and a rag top V12 running twin distributors for $8500...$48,000 nowadays.

I couldn't afford an $8500 toy then, and I couldn't afford a $48,00 toy now...🍺
