How true this pic is. Just filled out my papers for my firearms permit on Saturday. In NJ, I need to get fingerprinted, full background check- including mental illness history, pay almost $80. bucks and then wait for approximately 4 to 6 weeks for an answer.
Should have done this a long time ago.

You fill out a release form that allows them to search all Dr. Records for any trace of mental illness including spousal or child abuse.

I'll start off by saying, I like the comparison, but I don't think it works just as you think it does. I own several guns, and I'm a liberal, and I think everyone that is in good mental health should be able to own one. I know that is difficult for many of you to understand, but we do exist. Most liberals are not judging either of the "top" groups, instead, trying to keep the bad apples from either top group from having the means to become a member of the bottom group. e.g. Background checks for both, weather buying a gun or boarding a plane into the U.S.

I'm sure there are many liberals that feel as your poster suggests, but there are just as many conservatives that are off their rocker crazy, not willing to listen to a decent argument that goes against their paps beliefs, and wants everyone to have access to whatever gun they want because they can protect them self.

But I do like the comparison for its humor, wrong as it may be.

I'm changing my residency to NC soon. Take a 9 hour CC course, go see the Sheriff, fill out the forms, and a little while later, you're carrying legally. The ironic thing is, where I'm moving to, crime in almost non-existent. If you listen to the media and the President, you would think it would be sky high with all those folks carrying guns. Of course you and I know that more guns in the hands of good guys equal less crime. Where good guys are heavily restricted, crime goes through the roof.
