I don't see any frame of reference, so it must not have been a keeper? 🤔

I think that's a 9 inch chartreuse bucktail hanging out his mouth....that or an 1/8 oz jig head :)

Boated a lot of northerns last summer. I'd venture to guess he's about 26". No hammer-handle, but not quite a trophy, either.

Nice fish. Bitch to filet, but pretty good on the grill.

Meh...standing around in a dark little box..on frozen ice inches thick to catch a fish...you're either a sadist/masochist or you're in a really bad marriage.

I remember spending 14 years in the freaking hellhole called metro Detroit..."You need to go skiing"...did it...I was cold..."You need to go snowmobiling"...did it...I was colder..."C'mon out on Anchor Bay and go fishing!"...it was then that it hit me. I hate ****'ing winter and Michigan.

Glad you have fun outside in the freezing cold...me, gimmie Florida every day of the year. Even under hurricane conditions.

...and look at the local news titles...all of a sudden...I'm on top of the world and have no problems!

Never ice fished.. But we used to go to Harson's Island and fish the marshes and channels. Plenty of pike but a lot of dogfish too.. It was always a good time.
