Well, I was warned this would be addictive.

The three string is my prototype CBG, now with a poplar neck that will stay in tune. Old composite pressboard bowed further and further-would have soon been a bow and arrow instead of a guitar! Also got some cool old sockets to use as a slide too.

The funky neck/Undercrown hybrid is the neck and bridge from a cheapo First Act guitar I got for parts then decided to try to take apart. Over-all happy with it, but something happened and it has fret buzz where the First Act didn't. Gonna shim the bridge as pulling the frets off that cheap a neck and resetting them aint' worth the effort.

TY The First Act-Undercrown hybrid has already been traded off and the box replaced in my stock. Gotta get by the Home Depot and get some more neck wood, may try oak or maple this time, but poplar is working well too.

Hmm, either a really light wood to contrast, or maybe a darker brown or stain? Maybe a more experienced woodworker would care to chime in?
