Well, I stumbled upon this site a couple weeks back and have found myself visiting and reading nightly. I have, so far, enjoyed the posts that I have been able to read. I am not an avid smoker, however I do enjoy a good smoke a couple of times a week. Here is a list of my first purchases off this site (along with CI). Many of these smokes I have not tried yet, but I am itching to get light one up. My previous tastes include Macanudos (Cafe, and Maduro), RyJ (perhaps my favorite), Partags, A. Fuente, and Diamond Crowns.

Well here is what I bought...how'd I do???

5 Oliva "O" Torpedo 7.0" x 54
5 CAO Brazilia Gol! 5.0" x 56
9 Romeo y Julieta Tubos Various
5 La Perla Habana Classic Toro 6.0" x 50
5 Montesino Gran Corona 6.7" x 48
5 Astral Favorito 7.0" x 48
5 Montague No. 3 6.0" x 40
10 5 Vegas Panatela 6.0" x 38
10 Big Butt Variety Sampler Various
10 Macanudo - Prince phillip 7.0" x 50

Well, that's it so far...I am about full in the humidor. What do ya think??

What do I think? Let's see. It's late, I've been drinking, and standing out in the freezing cold smokin and kicking stray cats.
You got some nice picks and some not so nice picks.
Big Butt? Only if you like fat girls.
Montesino? Smoke a brown paper bag for more flavor.
Montegue. Next time, go for the maduro. Refer the brown paper bag.
You've already indicated your a RyJ and Mac fan so you're stickin with what you like. (hopefully that will change)
Astral. no opinion.
the rest? good choices. May be a bit strong for you, but flavor profiles are fantastic.
Now go to your local guy and find you some Bucaneros and enter the land of happy smoke.

Welcome aboard!

Now send SteveS a cigar!

Mean....you really gotta do something about your winter cigar smoking situation.

I only lasted half of one winter....then the fans went in the basement windows. 2 years later and no complaints from the ball and chain, and she HATES smoke.

Well, Mr Mean....you were right. the Montesino was not a good cigar. Lacking intaste, i woul have expected more out of a A Fuente line cigar. The montegue was not impressive either, a little light in the body.

The Montesino Sun-Growns are some of the best cigars out there. If you have not tried the SG (I believe there are only three sizes in the SG line) ... before passing judgment on the Montesino ... try a couple.

They will knock your socks off!

It's just the nat's that are lacking for Montesino.
