This is a Browning Hi-Power restoration I did for a project. The inset pic is what the whole pistol looked like (slide and all) when I got it.
I still haven't got the real story on what happened to it but none-the-less it was F**ked up! The pic really doesn't do it justice, I hand polished the flats on the slide, trigger, slide catch , mag release , thumb safety, and hammer. I then bead blasted the frame and other components to give it a matte finish. The contrast between the polished parts and matte parts look pretty damn sharp.

great job! i carried one for many years. o'course mine was blued and had pacmeyer grips. single action good capacity and a real tact driver. always did the job. still have it good to see that you took the time to restore a fine nine. sweet
