true... we keep it around almost all summer... it goes on burgers and everything we can think of... 👍

We usually grow so much basil we end up freezing a bunch and use it to make soups in winter.

I've tried drying some too. Heard that people put olive oil in ice cube trays along with the basil so when they need it they just throw it in a hot pan.

for the pesto we blend the oil and basil leaves together and freeze it. When its time to use thaw it out and you are good to go. I guess you could do ice cube trays but we just use ziplock bags

It was funny to hear my daughter getting so excited about the tomato and cucumber seeds I gave her.

For a few days nothing happened, she had even dug around and noticed nothing happening, so was about to give up, but after all these rains, they have all come up.


They don't have room this year for any corn in their "pallet garden", plus she's too busy taking care of horses and dogs, they are going on a honeymoon next week, looks like Ole Numi will be taking care of the horses and dogs +1 kitty 2x/day next week!

Basil is about the easiest thing there is to grow... so go buy some seeds and git growin!

Make some turtle soup and gator skin boots and you will have plenty of room.

don't forget the pine nuts... 😳

We roast em and add em in after we thaw out the basil/oil mix. It taint pesto wit no pine nutz!
