I'm not a hardcore golfer, but this is as close as I've ever come to a hole in one.
Any good hole in one stories out there?

Tank got a hole one once, but it was after the game had been called, so it didn't count.

Almost only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.

Also golf is a good walk ruined. A quote I picked up somewhere.

I had a hole in one when I was in high school on the golf team (take it easy fellas...). No good story to go with it though except it was a hole that you could not see the cup from the tee. I was up on the green looking all over for my ball and said to my one buddy, "maybe we oughta check in the cup". Sure as sh&t, there it was! We both almost passed out.

Closest I've ever come was within about a foot of the cup on a 140 yard par 3.

Only one for me. It was 175 yards and we could see from the tee that it was very close to the pin but still visible. Got in the carts and when we reached the green it was gone. Never saw it fall.

Had two shots within a couple of inches on the same course and on the same day way back when I lived in Baltimore. Never that close since.

Attaboy CS!!! A friend had 2 in one round in a B tier PDGA tournie last month, and had a third spit out. PDGA = Pro Disc Golf Association.:-)

Never close to a hole in one, but I was a day late for an albatross (triple eagle?).
It was a par 5 and I put it on the green in two.
The ball was sitting squarely on the previous day's pin placement.

I think I four putted from there...

When I was 13, and was taken out to a course for the first time to play, I decided that if ever I hit a hole in one, I'd walk away right then.

Still haven't done it...
