My wife is a nurse working at a public care facility. She sees free healthcare given away to illegals every day, all day, while others struggle to get the Meds they need. As a nurse she must be clear on what the patient is paying for and what health insurance is covering BEFORE any treatment is given. She may not type the Invoice but she must be aware prior to any pill or shot being given. A patient has been receiving the same anti-depression drugs for 5+ yrs. Obamacare now does not cover that specific med requiring the patient to switch medications. If you know ANYTHING about anti-depressants changing meds can be very dangerous.
And I receive a B2 shot every month - not a pill. I can't take pills due to an allergy to a compound used to make a variety of medications.
So much for Victor's logic. Phffft again!!!!

1 - Urgent Care - Where possible, they send the patients through billing BEFORE they are taken in to see the doctor. They have desks set up where you discuss with the admin how you are paying for your upcoming treatment.
2 - Clinics - They took my insurance card ahead of time at admittance and then billing was squared away (copay etc) at the end of treatment. All by the admins. neither nurse nor doctor discussed anything
3 - Orthopedic surgeons - Admin collected insurance and squared away later.
And so on and so on.
Hell, they have NO clue what is even covered when they treat me. They bill my insurance company, my insurance company then tells me what they expect to cover of that and THEN the various clinics/hospitals send me a bill for the remainder.
Given that the billing administrators at these places don't know what parts of my treatment are going to be covered by insurance, what makes you think a nurse, who while I'm certain is very competent at her job is not actually directly involved in the billing would be offering advice?
Oh, and you do realize vitamin B2 and vitamin B12 are VERY different compounds, right? Strangely enough, B2 is extraordinarily stable, and I would guess shots are very rare. B12 is more likely to be delivered by shot, but still rare these days (likely only for allergy or extraordinary high dose reasons).
As for switching anti-depressants... can you state specifically which one is no longer covered by Obamacare? Can you tell me which one they need to switch to? If not, then it's kind of a moot point, since you aren't giving me enough information to actually have a discussion.
What I find hilarious is I don't like obamacare. I'm forced to defend aspects of it because the crap people post here is SO stupid, and so incorrect. There are valid reasons to dislike obamacare. Fake email chains about death panels and whatnot is not valid.
