Here's the recent picture from North Central MA. They are going strong after having to do a second planting due to a cold spring and a too anxious gardener (AKA me).

I'm doing them in 8 gallon containers since my garden has limited space. This year I'm trying a "vertical garden" and some container gardening along with my standard garden... a little experiment.

An established raised bed garden for peppers, tomatoes, peas, carrots, spinach, and herbs. Containers and trellis' for cucumbers and pole beans. Containers for the corn (Numi corn and sweet corn), watermelon (not exactly sure yet what I'll do with these when they start to vine out... cross that bridge when I come to it).

I have a friend that has a horse farm so the container soil is a 50/50 mix of potting soil and composed horse crap.

We'll see how it goes.
