Our New Orleans Pelicans drafted Nerlins Noel with the sixth pick, then promptly traded him and a first round pick next year to the Philadelphia 76ers for their (in My opinion) absolute best player, All Star Point Guard Jrue Holiday and the #42 overall pick in this years draft.

It would have been pretty cool for N.O. to have a guy named Nerlins, but, N.O. has been without a good solid Point Since they lost CP3. I'm very happy about this trade. Woo Hoo!

Philly better hope this trade works out for them in the long run, as I feel they are really gambling. I know what it means to lose a good Point Guard.

good points. Jrue really is good, and young. Never considered the Nerlins/N.O. sound thing, that's great. He's a Greater Boston area kid.

a buddy up here just brought his son home from Tulane after graduation and showed up at my house wearing a Pelicans hat. Love it!

Utah did well.

The 76ers were dumb trading an allstar for an unknown quantity. They could have traded pics for less.

Philly cleaned up in this draft. They also got a guaranteed top 3 lottery for next years draft in that Jru deal which is supposed to be a very talented draft class. Jru was solid but they had to do something to change the team they had and he was the only player that held value really. I think this move was a homerun for the Sixers future.

Yeah! The Pelican's logo's are pretty nice. I'm going to have to break down and get some new gear soon.

I only wish we could get the Jazz name back, though. I still have a N.O. Jazz refrigerator magnet that has been transferred to many refrigerators over time. Nothing, and I mean nothing about Utah says Jazz. At least our name/mascot fits the region a bit better now. I still don't know what they will call the former "Honeybees" (dance team) now.

The New Orleans Chicks? Now that would be cool.=d>

it has always cracked me up that they kept Jazz when they went to Utah. I can't think of another state with less in common with jazz than Utah. They should have adopted their old Stars name from the ABA. N.O. and Jazz might have made the most sense of any city and nickname ever, and there are other well linked names.
