It's hard to judge a president during times of Terrible Tradgedy, I mean next to the Civil War and Pearl Harbor there has not been anything like 9-11 to deal with and quite frankly at the time those Presidents were not judged well by many either. Half a Country hated Linclon and many hated Roosevelt : even Charles Lindbergh did :....

I think ultimatley the fact that Bush kept the country from total collapse says he did his job. At the time of 911 the only thing people cared about was saftey and retuning to normalcy and he accomplished that in spite of those who tried to usurp political gain while the tradjedy was in full flower..

He never had a chance to be anything more than he was in such horrible times.. If you look at the finacial clooapse that was merely carry over from Clinton Policies and the fact that Al Queda made us spend money to defend the world from their spread that was to blame..

Time will judge him better than we do..
