Wheel, after re-reading your post, I think you have the Saddle Ring model. Mine is the standard 1894 with padded butt plate, not the brass one. Not as pretty as yours, but a little easier on the shoulder.

I remember having a FTE (failure to eject) once or twice, if that's what you're referring to.
