Being computer illiterate, maybe someone can help .

When I sign in on my laptop, I can bid for anything BUT when I try to post on a discussion board, it tells me to sign in. I repeat the process & it still tells me I must sign in to post.

I now post on my Ipad

Any suggestions?????

Remember, I don't know crap about computers.

Thanks

Wheel:

Yes it did. That's when the problem started.

So.... What does restore to a day a week previous mean & how do I do it. If you do this, does that wipe out the update?

Have also recently experienced very long server response times when attempting to sign-in or post a reply to a thread. So long in fact that I'll often received a time-out errors and had used the browser's "back' function to retrieve the response or get back to the site.

But I have also recently experienced a number of browser and Flash related problems and crashes. Almost everyday that I open a browser and the Flash auto-updater tries to respond. And Flash's auto-updater can not be turned off. Does the slider animation on the CBid homepage use Flash or a recent version of CSS and Java, JQuery, or something else?

Damnit!!! I'll just buy a new 27" iMac. It is time.

ok,

The easiest way,

go to control panel, type in Restore in the search tab at the top right. It will say recover and res

tore to s previous date.

It will give you a couple of dates to pick from. Pick a date before the update. All your stuff, pics files etc will be fine.

It takes about 10 minutes to,

It does wipe out the update IF you pick a date previous to the update..

easy peasey,,

Hope that helps,,

Happened to me a couple weeks ago. I also have Firefox running on my laptop. Been using Firefox since then to access the forums. Safari still works on my phone. Maybe in a few months they'll fix what ever is fucked up and I'll start using Explorer agian.

Yep, having same problem using IE after an auto-update. Posting this using Chrome, I think. Or Firefox. I don't know, I just click on the icon thingy.

Agree...think it was the IE 11 upgrade. Told cbid support who directed me to their IT dept. Have not contacted them yet. Phone still works.

For CBID, and forums I switched to Chrome months ago, from firefox.

Firefox was consistently flaky.

I never used Chrome until I started having problems at cbid.

Now, I've gotten to where I like it.

Haven't liked IE for years.
