I look nothing like that.

I have five cats and would defend them to the death. They are of the utmost priority in my life.

Flame away if you must....

Flame away? No, silly Nellie.

WOW, you're lucky your mom let you keep 'em. What are their names? I bet they have distinct personalities! Do they have a nice scratching post? Do you get congested from cat fur? So many qweschens...

That's what he said. [whip]

Lissen here, Mr. Sensitive. Nothing wrong with owning a couple of cats... My ex (emphasis on "ex") brought 4 into our house. I loved them despite their destruction of clothes, furniture + vet bills etc. and, of course, my congestive allergies for cat antigen.

Oh wait, you said you owned 5... That's a little old spinsterish, ain't it? How do you get rid of the turd stank in the litter box before company comes over? Arm & Hammer, Fabreze, Old Spice, how? I would toss 'em off the balcony.

Four of them are indoor only. All four males. I have one female who is outdoor only (save for a heated space in the garage during the winter).

Oldest male came to me one day 12 years ago during a pretty rough patch in my life. Never liked cats before him. He was a young stray who hated snow, and I really needed something to focus on then. Took me quite a while to get used to and half azz understand how cats work.

When I got married 4 years ago, my wife had a cat too, so that made two. Her cat is the female who is very temperamental and didn't want to share the house with any other cat, so she chose the outdoors.

After a year I decided I wanted a purebred cat, so we acquired a ragdoll kitten. I loved him so much that I went and got him a half brother from the same breeder to play with.

This last September my wife came home with a stray that was running around the parking lots at the hospital she works for. Our intent was to make sure he was healthy and neutered, then put him up for adoption. But, he too quickly became part of the family so he's now part of the mix.

For the smell, I use only a high quality litter, and very large litter boxes. It is imperative that the boxes be kept clean. As well, we feed only quality grain free foods, and that helps with two things: the aforementioned vet bills, and the smell of their urine and chit.

For the allergies of possible guests, I keep a Rabbit Air MinusA2 air purifier running non-stop. It helps control house hold dust of all types, and does well with anything the cats might be able to throw out as well.

Why do you waste em? We use them to fill in the chuck holes in the road.
