I just bought an 18 lb cryo pack from Costco. I've got it in a molasses brine right now.

I'll be cooking it Monday. You make your own dry rub or store bought? I do either, just depends if I feel like making my own.

I do the same. I made my own rub last cook but I bought a can of Famous Dave's rub today and I am going to mix them together.

I make a mustard based carolina sauce that is super spicy then I mix it 50/50 with KC Masterpiece private stock and it comes out perfectly spicy/sweet. I'm getting everything set up today for my cook tomorrow. I'll start it at 11am and it should be done by 6am Tuesday morning. (I hope)

Today it's just me and my friend Dan. We always watch the Superbowl together and we're going to have pizza.

Bought a 10 lb pork loin yesterday, cut it in half, vacuum packed and froze half for later. Was going to fire up the smoker but woke up to 4" of snow and it was still coming down.....or across carried by a 15-20 mph north wind.Looks like the snow has stopped...bout 6-8" on the ground.Anyway I pulled out an old coca cola crock pot BBQ recipe we haven't had in years.Smells awesome right now.Bout an hour prior to the game we should be having some awesome pulled pork sammiches.

I have a porker shoulder in the smoker right now. Currently breaking through the stall and is at 170 degrees. Should be perfect by game time.

Make my own rub based off a recipe from a hell of a BBQ guy I've been following online for years.

Love the famous daves rub on ribs. I use it exclusively when smoking ribs. Topped with dr. pepper bbq sauce, and it is heaven on a plate. Sure its a little commercialized, but I'm not cooking for competition, I'm cooking for the taste my family loves. . .
