Oh, I forgot to mention that a few days after this photo, those tables were sanded and repainted as the place was spruced up for a visit of some distinguished visitors:

-------------------------------------------

http://tinyurl.com/kwaj-vets

"The two WWII vets visiting Kwajalein this January are Mr. Burl Sousa (at left), and Mr. Ted Sonner (at right).

Sadly, due to medical reasons, Mr. Harrison Miller (center) will not be able to make the trip. See the event page for more information."

-------------------------------------------

These Veterans were here for the invasion back in 1944 and came out for a visit.

Ted and Burl were here.

"These men are tied to the Kingfisher Project, and were directly involved in the rescue of Harrison Miller, radioman/rear-gunner on the Kingfisher and who ditched the plane into the lagoon when he and his pilot were shot down. As many on Kwajalein know, a search for this plane has been going since August 2011. "

=d>

Another story I read said that their boat was under fire as they went in for the rescue in the lagoon.

Pretty cool. I would love to get out there and check the place out. I am guessing that you have to let the cigars rest for awhile after you receive them.
