Got these a awhile back. One of the cigars I noticed a substantial amount of dust coming from the foot. Thought it was beetles so I froze them. Tapped the foot of this cigar and more dust and chunks of Tobacco kept coming out. I decided to take it under the razor and this is what I found. Anybody else experience this with these rockets?resize.jpg

Is that more of the infamous ribbon-cut tobacco we've been hearing about?

you get what you pay for... hopefully you only paid a dollar for it and got a typical gran habano cigar... if you paid over a buck, you got screwed...

From the CI description: "Cuban-seed Nicaraguan long-fillers and rich tobaccos from Panama"

I'm guessing since they don't say the panama is long filler, that's probably where all that chopped tobacco hails from... some kind of panamanian pixie dust of some sort it looks to be...

There were literally two pieces of this so called panama long filler which held all this dust tobac. First thing that came to my mind were 'beetles'. Didnt find anything out of the ordinary except for these white spots on the long filler. Its like they rolled this cigar with this crushed up tobacco and peices as a joke. Pretty weird. Wouldn't want to be inhaling any of that.

is it normal for a little bit of dust to fall out of the foot with these? I have some primo a.fuentes and nothing is coming out of the foot likes these. I feel like cutting up another Gran Habano Azteca to see if its the same **** filler.

That cigar looks really really dried out. If I stepped and stomped up and down on a cigar don't think it would look that bad. Cut open another. You sure don't want to be smokin them if they look like that.

good point chaz... I was thinking the same thing... if you pinch the foot and the whole thing cracks all over (as it looks like it probably would) then chaz is right, these things are way too dry... and that would actually explain all the tobacco fragments and dust...

but even without the panamanian pixie dust, these aren't good cigars to begin with...

Yea, talking about dry as heck. I think these were sitting out dry for a very long time before I got them. I have another Azteca and I can pinch the foot which does not crack and shapes back up. There is still some dust coming out though a couple peices. I think this is gonna go under the razor. Dont want to be inhaling this but the other two Aztecas I have look solid. Not sure if I can post pics in an already made thread. If so, Ill make a Gran Habano Azteca Fuerta #2 post.
