Anyone know anything about this? How is a warning shot against an estranged husband entering your house not allowed but someone on the street is? Perhaps she should have said he had skittles and she didn't know him.

If I recall correctly, they were arguing, she left into the garage. She then re-entered with a gun and fired through the wall at her husband and a couple of kids.

She was the one entering and shooting, not him. No stand your ground applied.

What is being asked for is that she be cut lose for shooting at her husband and two kids in exchange for the Treyvon Martin case.

(which seems a bit odd to me since this is a case of black-on-black crime)

There is a "warning shot" bill now progressing through the state legislature.

But given that 60 years is a homicide level penalty, seems to have not done her any good. She may as well have killed him, may have gotten a lighter sentence.

If he were dead she could have said he was acting aggressive ... could have planted a snapple on his body or something.

I think she had 3 convictions of aggravated assault with a firearm. 20 years each concurrent. Now the state wants them consecutive. (Mandatory sentencing guidelines)

The problem with shooting him is she would have had to shoot his kids as well.

If walls could talk, that would really creep me out. I'd be like walking through a hallway and all of a sudden the wall shouts "Hey Frenchie! German tanks are on the border!"

I hate walls now just thinking about it.
