I think it's time the parties selected non-lawyer/non-politico candidates and a general election took place almost immediately.
An everyday civilian with a good mind and willingness to tell the truth. How's that?

Other than that, I don't see anything other than the usual Clinton vs Bush after the perfunctory and unnecessary (IMHO) primaries.👎

you know hillary is gonna be there and the loony tunes will swoon to her reported brilliance

Yep, Hillary's cankles are firmly in the WH stirrups. Next time though, it'll probably be a clean, articulate latino guy- something other than the usual Zimmerman looking mestizo- the whiter or blacker or asianer the better IMO. That way you get a demographic daily double.

I remember the same blunder that Mercedes made, they went after the safe car buyers- which in turn sold more Volvos.

^. I agree with Bloody. Difficult to see how two white guys from the upper Midwest (no regional disrespect intended; I lived there myself for a while) will help the GOP.

so unless the republicans have someone with at least a mixed pedigree they wont get elected ?

Fiddler898,

If you win the election that way, you win the battle and loose the war. Because another village idiot like GW will seal the party's fate and reputation as economy destroyers.

You may have hit the nail on the head, somewhere along the way they forgot that the best way to get votes was to make the economy prosper. They wont be forgiven for that.

Tim Pawlenty and John Hoeven

It will never happen though. The crazy, right wing a$$holes that run the Republican party don't get that no one wants a stupidly right wing candidate. And has been proven the last two elections, they don't want RINO's like McCain and that crazy fracker Mitt Romney. Both were governors of states that weren't collapsing. They both knew enough to get the hell out of the way and let commerce and prosperity happen. Both are comparatively moderate. And as a Libertarian, I could stomach voting for them, which means that they have a pretty wide appeal.

Oh well, Four more years of stupid f'ckers ruining the country.
