and rub it on your chain every once in a while.

The chain is about a month old. It -is- lubed up. No matter what you do, it's gonna turn brown. It sits outside 24 hours a day in the rain and the salt breeze and the coral dust.

I recently got a silver colored chain that is supposed to be extra rust resistant. I'll put that on when this one breaks.
