Can't put my finger on it, but this anniversary always moves me.

What an awful and wonderful day.

We owe everything to them. This would be a totally different world and I wouldn't be here if they didn't prevail...

To me this is a very reverent day. Also it makes me proud to be an American. Words are insufficient thanks for those who fought for freedom that day. They were ordinary men giving extraordinary bravery and sacrifice that day. Hero's one and all.

The whole sacrifice will be lost upon the masses sooner rather than later.

Too me it is sad, but time rolls on and every day, people will forget.

Only those in the extremes of the world will be remembered.

This was a day of average Joes that did the unbelievable.

I saw a quote that fits. I like to say father time is old, but he whoops everyone's ass eventually.

When a bird is alive, it eats ants. When the bird is dead, Ants eat the bird. Time and circumstances can change at any time. Don't devalue or hurt anyone in your life. You may be powerful today, but remember time is more powerful than you! One tree makes a million match sticks. Only one match stick needed to burn a million trees. So be good and do good because you never know what will happen.

We were in Normandy last fall. Set foot on several of the beaches, very humbling and emotional. Unfortunately, the American Cemetery was closed due to the Govt. shutdown.

Check out this site, this museum was awesome and the story of the floating harbor is mind boggling. There are still remnants of the sunken ships on the beach.
