I love Chief Wahoo and hope they never change it. I'm not a fan of the indians but would gladly wear their swag cause I dig it.

A team name should never be changed to be politically correct or because some people find it offensive. The team name redskins however should be changed. It is a deragatoy name for an entire group of people. It is akin to their name being the spics, or dagos, or chinks, and so on. Where I have a problem is a situation like Marquette becoming the golden eagles. Warriors is high praise, there us nothing derogatory about it. PC should never be considered, nor should a small group that is offended.

I think people have to look at the intentions of the organization. The mascots are there to represent the team and get people excited. No mascot is intended to be offensive and/or discriminating. If they allow people to make a fuss and change things to make everyone happy where do we draw the line? If farmers get upset about the cornhuskers being offensive do we change that? How do we know tigers arent offended that LSU uses purple and yellow since tigers arent purple and yellow?
