Just got home. Nearly 2:00am. Cowboy game is on at 6:00am on AFN Sports.

Looks like I'll miss the first half or so...

Can they move up to 7 wins???

If he hadn't played the last series in ot I beleive they would already have 7 wins.

You gain 7 yards on the ground on first down. It's now 2nd and 3. Your qb is gimpy and you have been gashibg them on the ground all game. Particularly when your back up qb was in and they knew you wiuld run.

The Jason Garret plan? Never run again. 3 pass attempts with the gimp and game over. This clown has to go. There been winning despite him.

Reminds me of the Harbaugh plan against the Ravens in the SB. Running the ball gets you to first and goal and you throw it three effing times. 🤦

Oh well, didn't get out of bed until the game was already over. Looks like I didn't miss anything.

I reckon they'll pump Romo full of something next week and send him in.

Where's Wheel? [frypan]

The off-season decision to let Kyle Orton go, came back to haunt the Cowgirls. Was / Is Brandon Weeden really a better QB? Since I don't follow Dallass I don't know if it was a salary cap issue or just another poor decision by GM Jones. 🤦

I don't think they "let orton go". He didn't show up and didn't want to play anymore is my understanding. I thought it was totally ortons decision. It's also only been one game with weeden.

Okay, thanks for correcting that (...if that's what happened...). But Weeden looked so bad, they may be rushing Romo back quicker than what they wanted to. 'Course they're playing Jacksonville so maybe it won't be so bad.

I'm not correcting you. Just vaguely recall before the season that it was really weird. They were waiting for him to come back in there was some question whether he was or wasn't. I could be wrong with what ultimately happened I just remember it being a really strange thing.

Weeden sucks. Against the Redskins he was better than Romo though. Had they not brought Romo back in I'm convinced they would've beat Washington.

I stand corrected on this one somewhat. I didn't realize he was in buffalo. I knew it was a weird deal.

Prior to the 2014 NFL season, Orton threatened the Cowboys with a possible retirement and did not report to any of the team's organized team activities or workouts. Besides accumulating $70,000 in fines, quarterback coach Wade Wilson reported that Orton did not maintain any communications with the Cowboys during this period.[32] After a stalemate with the organization and the risk of losing part of his signing bonus, although he decided to report to training camp, the team released him on July 15 and promoted Brandon Weeden to the backup quarterback position.[33] The Cowboys were relieved of Orton's $3.25 million salary in 2014, but will still have to pay him a signing bonus.[34] He would follow Jay Ratliff as the second player in two straight years to force the Cowboys to waive him.

On August 29, 2014, Orton agreed on a two-year deal with the Buffalo Bills, with the team paying him $5 million in the first year alone, making him the highest paid backup quarterback in the league.[35] On September 29, 2014, Bills head coach Doug Marrone announced that Kyle Orton would become the new starting quarterback for the Bills in relief of EJ Manuel.[36] In his first start for the Buffalo Bills, Orton posted a win by beating the Detroit Lions 17-14.

Orton just didn't want to be here in Dallas. Something about making snow Angels while naked with the black linemen., I don't know,,,

Romo will be back soon enough. They might make the playoffs which would be way more than anticipated,,,
