Hillary Clinton Resigns as Wife of Bill Clinton in Preparation of 2016

WASHINGTON, DC – It’s the most substantial move Hillary Clinton has made toward her bid for presidency in 2016; the US Secretary of State and former first lady resigns from her husband and 42nd President of the United States, Bill Clinton. The pair have been married since 1975, and it’s no secret that their marriage has faced some severe challenges over the years.

Reportedly, Hillary filed divorce papers with the Westchester County, NY Clerks Office on January 2, 2015. The reason Hillary used was “irreconcilable differences”; even penning on the forms that she requests the decree go uncontested. There has been no confirmation that Bill has received his copy of the divorce to sign.



“Being divorced from the Monica Lewinsky-White House scandal mogul should clear the way for Hillary to assemble a bullet-proof campaign,” says a staff member from the White House. “Why not have our first female President in the White House also be independent? If Bill were here again, we’re not sure what we’d call him anyway.”

Hillary is confident that her poll numbers will skyrocket once the divorce is final. She has not campaigned for US Presidency since 2008; when she lost by a landslide to current US President Barack H. Obama. Polls have already indicated that she is an “overwhelming favorite among Democrats” for the 2016 Presidential nomination.

In an official statement, Bill Clinton claims he “understands” why Hillary would elect for a divorce, and that he “supports” her no matter the choices she makes. He jokingly admitted that he’s surpised she stayed married to him for this long. When asked if divorcing Hillary would give him a reason to reunite with Monica Lewinsky, he declined to comment.

Bill does hope Hillary will still remain loyal to their subsequent activities, such as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and The Bill, Hillary, and Chelsea Clinton Foundation. The two have founded a few non-profit agencies throughout the years following Bill’s presidency, that have provided assistance to women and young girls, to receive education and aid in development efforts.

Critics somewhat disagree with Hillary’s decision to resign as Bill’s wife; citing the improvements he made to the United States economy during his two terms in office. He’d managed to capture the longest standing period of economic expansion in American history, as well as pass welfare reform laws and State Children’s Health Insurance Programs, despite facing impeachment in the latter part of his presidency.

Hillary supporters feel she can surpass Bill’s successes in office, with or without him. Feminist groups all of over the nation declare that our first woman President will not “need a man” to get the job done, and congratulate her on her impending dissolution of marriage.

I could care less what Hillary does or does not do. Hillary, please do run for president. We need more humor in our daily lives. Drafter, keep buying into the special interest Democrats must be kicked out of politics. The only problem with this is the special interest Republicans must be kicked out of politics also.
