Set-up tent and check for holes, tears, or any missing pieces - Done. Now to let her air-out for a bit.

This will be home for 3-4 days (not in my driveway of course!) during my first elk hunt starting this Friday. Lows overnight are expected to drop to the mid 20's, with possibilities of some light snow at higher elevations.

Good luck and have fun!

It's on my bucket list to get out and try to get one of those one day.

Are you using those mummy style sleeping bags to keep warm? Or a heat source?

frozenphoenix1 - This hunt has been on my bucket list since moving to CO. Will be hunting with 2 others that know the public land and have bull tags. I only have a cow tag, but it rounds the hunt out nicely.

Sorry dkeage, not Wyoming but traveling about 1-1/2hrs NE from home in Routt County, CO. Have to take an old logging road back in about 7 miles by Jeep to set-up camp, then hike a few miles from there.

Tail - Yes on the expandable mummy bag. Also taking a 2nd bag and an old wool army blanket just in case. Not comfortable with a propane heat source in the tent. Fire restrictions may even prevent starting a fire to cook over so we will preserving any propane for cooking. Fire restrictions may even prevent me from enjoying a cigar outside, and force me to smoke inside the Jeep. It's not my Jeep so I'm hoping for no fire restrictions!
