I do not GAF about this one way or the other. But I do find the reaction very amusing.

First that I've heard of this.
What's the big deal?

It is not a big deal IMO. Someone has started Facebook pages called white student union for about 50 schools. The remarks on the pages are rather pointed toward ridiculing Black Lives Matter and minority campus demonstrations in a bigoted manner. But the reaction is overblown by the schools. It's only words.

I googled it and it appears that these groups might not actually exist except in cyberspace.
No meetings or anything like that.

It's not a real thing. It's some azzholes associating some really stupid sh&t with some schools. The schools are not sanctioning it at all, so there really isn't anything there other than some d!cks wanting everyone else to know they're d!cks

Tony, yes the words are discriminatory, but when the school puts out a statement or asks Facebook to take the page down, then the aholes win. Even if it is a very small win. Also it is funny that the schools react at all, it's only words.

When we were young, we were taught "sticks and stones".

Kids nowadays are taught that words hurt.

F*cking pansies.
Oops. Didn't mean to hurt them.

Tail... I'm a big proponent of the sticks and stones concept.

But when we were kids we were also taught not to be intentional d!cks about things we had no understanding about. With the internet, it looks like people have forgotten that lesson as well.
