What is a yellow tail?
It doesn't appear to be Tuna. (I'm familiar with Yellowfin).

Can you eat barracuda?

What is a yellow tail?
It doesn't appear to be Tuna. (I'm familiar with Yellowfin).

Can you eat barracuda?

Cooked correctly jacks are very good as long as they're not to big. Pompano is also a member of the jack family. Yellowtail have an oily white flesh. They are excellent grilled or broiled.

I find that oily flesh so daunting to work with... I'll cook up some killer rock cod and ling, but when i cook that oily stuff, it just turns out more oily...

Oh, and i lol loooove that "boat limit" law on the party boats... kinda makes it worth while to go out in bad weather...

No dodo's. Water isn't quite warm enough for them around the Coronados. They're still getting them on the multi-day trips that go farther south.

When I hit 5 yellowtail, I told the deckhand I was at my limit. He said, "Keep catching them..."
