at the moment we have gamine a rose breasted cockatoo, sometime3s called a gala, and i feather picking african grey.

we have raised and given to breeding colonys, a blu and gold, a mulucan, a nape.

we have outlived two keets, a rose breasted conjur, a grey cheeck and a parottlet.

and a flight i made in the house with 15 pairs of finches.

after we placed the birds in a breeding colony and the other birds flew to bird heaven, we gave all the finches and the flight to a friend.

when we had all the birds, we spent saturdy and sunday cleaning cages, it was a lot of fun, but now we can leave for weeks a a time and we have a pet sitter.

toby read this and reminded me we had about 8 or 10 canaries all in seperate cages and all hanging from hooks all over the house. i'll posty a few pictures for you.

Looks like a collie Rick. Collies are smarter than a lot of people I've met, but they're prone to nipping; they're nippers: part of their herding instinct. (disclaimer: all dogs are capable of biting, but collies are generally nippers, whereas, say, pit bulls are generally maulers)

this old picture is fadded. i haven't the fogiest idea what he was wearing that day 32 years ago.

shelties are not little collies, although they look almost the same. shelties are a breed of there own.

Preamble-- The Shetland Sheepdog, like the Collie, traces to the Border Collie of Scotland, which, transported to the Shetland Islands and crossed with small, intelligent, longhaired breeds, was reduced to miniature proportions. Subsequently crosses were made from time to time with Collies. This breed now bears the same relationship in size and general appearance to the Rough Collie as the Shetland Pony does to some of the larger breeds of horses. Although the resemblance between the Shetland Sheepdog and the Rough Collie is marked, there are differences which may be noted. The Shetland Sheepdog is a small, alert, rough-coated, longhaired working dog. He must be sound, agile and sturdy. The outline should be so symmetrical that no part appears out of proportion to the whole. Dogs should appear masculine; bitches feminine.

The Shetland Sheepdog should stand between 13 and 16 inches at the shoulder. Note: Height is determined by a line perpendicular to the ground from the top of the shoulder blades, the dog standing naturally, with forelegs parallel to line of measurement.

now we have sheba, our poodle, almost 10, perq, our

shih tzu, two years old, brie, our french bulldog,

6 months old, not housebroken, and bayla, our italian greyhound, 3 months old, not housebroken and a bit of diarrhea.

as i said before, judgment is one of the things that goes away with age, but obsessive compulsive disorder, grows rampant with age.
