I sent Frank a little joke Chanukkah gift a few days ago, just for sh*ts n giggles. He decided to send a "Thank you." which was not required, but much appreciated.

I've been running around the last couple days getting everything prepped for Christmas, was just sitting down awhile ago when there was a knock at the front door... Was the neighbor with a SMFR USPS box mumbling something about "I think this is yours, mailman dropped in our mailbox yesterday." I said thanks and looked at the return address... What da?

Frank sent me a nice note and a lovely Star of David ornament, which is now a wonderful addition on our Christmas tree.

AND, as insurance that the ornament was properly guarded in it's journey, he sends along an LFD TCFKAM Oscuro as a body guard! Wowza.

Thank you kindly Frank! Hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday and prosperous new year!

yeah yeah. picked up a couple of dem cheap China made ornaments. Prolly got lead paint on 'em.
Part of my plan to take over and convert this white male Christian dominated site to Judaism...and you fell for it!

My Patriarch family tree is Germanic and descendant of one Sur name- So if you meet anyone else with the same last name as mine, I am related to them... at least that's what I've been told.

I follow my own path, so I'm not worried in whichever way it goes.

FWIW- When my family immigrated to the US, they came in through Ellis Island and went straight to CHICAGO. I have no idea why, other than it works out to make chicken jokes now.

anyway, lots of stuff happened to lots of people at Ellis Island. Names were misspelled or totally changed. And many families "converted" from Judaism long before leaving Europe to avoid concentration camps and/or worse fates. Some just never "converted" back, some families are surprised to learn of their original heritage.

IIRC, Madeline Albright was from just such a family...if I have the right name.
