Saw half of a short story on
"The YEMEN RAID" ^^^ as stated above...
NBC NIGHTLY NEWS

It sounded like a REAL CLUSTER ****...

FIRE FIGHT STARTS...they return FIRE...
Then the SEAL TEAM GETS CAUGHT IN A 360 circle FIRE FIGHT with the Yemenies on rooftops and SEALS on ground eating sand or behind wall's?...
Who planned that, nobody on the team on the high ground or roofs too???
WTF???
Somehow the seals got
"LOTS AND LOTS OF COMPUTERS AND CELL PHONES...SOOOOOO MANYYYYY
COMPUTERS....
SOOOO MANY CELL PHONES"...

Then everybody gets awake with copters making noise and an OSPREY MAKES A ROUGH LANDING
AND BREAKS.... sound familiar??? Carter and BIN LADEN OPERATIONS....BIG JET COMES IN
AND PINPOINT HITS A multi million OSPREY plane with a multi million laser bomb and BLOW it up..

KA-CHING ...KA-CHING...
$$$$$$

GOTTA LOVE AN ILL PLANNED 360 degree FIRE FIGHT PINNED IN THE DIRT..
OF YOU INVESTIGATE IT???
THEN charge THE DUMB AZZ WHO PLANNED IT.

War is dirty business. When good guys die it always sucks but, if you hesitate for too long you lose the opportunity to achieve maximum results, usually. Mission accomplished IMO.

What mission was accomplished, finding a 10 year old video that has been on the net of how to make a bomb since 2007? Oh wait they pulled that after being embarrassed by it. Yeah, great mission, or are you referring to taking fire from 360 degrees and not having the high ground? That got 1 man killed and 3 others injured.

If you planned on crash landing you're doing it wrong. Bad chit happens, the OBL raid didn't go exactly as planned either. I think a good many camel jocks got to meet their 72 virgin goats before all the dust settled.

They didn't spare the women and children this time either.

Women and children died in the OBL raid as well. Wasn't much hand wringing over that one. You can't always expect perfection. If there were zero risks there would be zero rewards. Our guys will always give the best they've got but some days their best doesn't achieve the desired result. War isn't a video game.

Can't believe I'm paraphrasing Don Rumsfeld, the Secretary of Defense under GWB, who along with his protege Cheney were instrumental in leading us to war in Afghanistan and Irag after 9/11.

"In any operation, you must be careful that you don't create more terrorists than you kill."

Reports are that many Yemeni civilians, including children, were killed. Naturally, the local Yemeni media won't say that the U.S. were targeting Al Queda.

It was reported that the risks listed by the military/intelligence planners were too high compared to the objectives sought (intel on Al Queda operations) for Obama to give the green light.
Supposedly, the UAE was a partner in the operation. Wonder if that was the source that tipped off Al Queda that the strike was coming. Also wonder if Flynn or Maddog pushed for this operation, hoping to give Trump a feather in his cap.

Will the GOP demand an investigation?

So, you're saying our guys intentionally killed women and children? I call BS on that! They use women and children as combatants and also as shields. How many do you think would have died in a middle attack? Its a part of war, of all casualties suffered during wars throughout history MOST have been civilians. We've gotten better but it will never be perfect.

But in clandestine operations where we operate without permission or the cooperation of the sovereign government, we flout international law. Killing civilians just compounds the scrutiny, especially by our enemies in that region who use these failures to their advantage in convincing others that we are the terrorists. We lose our standing as a leading nation in the world that is lawful, just and moral. That has to be a primary consideration when we do these type of strikes.

Nice deflection again, go back and read what I said, right now you are terribly confused. My talking points were idiotic video, 360 degrees of fire, no high ground,1 man killed, and 3 men injured. I mentioned nothing about women and children. If I had it would been that they were enemy combatants.
