Cliffs notes:
At the Texas state house a protest is held to fight a new bill or law that allows immigration laws to be upheld.
Some of the protesters hold signs that say "I'm illegal and I'm staying". Or words to that effect.
Republican calls ICE.
Democrats riot and assault him.
Democrats threaten him, saying they'll get him outside.
Republican says he'll defend himself with a gun.

In the aftermath the democrats leave out the parts where they:
- organize illegal persons
- incite the riot/scuffle
- assault the Republican House Member
- Threaten the Republican House Member

But they do remember to cry about his promise to use his weapon if needed (although they left out the "if needed" part).

For his part, the republican in question has admitted to calling ICE and said that he did offer to shoot someone if required for self defense.


The best part?
Liberal Media Outlets have the headline: "Republican lawmaker threatens to shoot Democrat in head".

Yeah, we're plum eat up with the dumba$$ here in Austin. Glad he stood up for himself. Majority of the rest of the state is conservative.

I read about it last night, felt like I got a pretty balanced summary of the events that unfolded... and then i woke up this morning and saw the media covered in headlines like the one mentioned...

it's alarming, both the severity of bias in the media and the boldness with which they are now applying it to literally everything they cover... nothing they say can be trusted...

Local CBS affiliate ran a biased report that at the very end (5 seconds of the 30 something second report) mentioned that they threatened him.

Joel, I agree but in this instance I think the bias was surpassed by the eagerness to highlight a gun threat for grabbing attention.

The only thing I learned from this is that not only is drafter illegal, but he stole a tank of gas... 😞
