Sure the budget is depressing....but, as much as I dislike nearly everything about Congress, I'm saddened to see Trey Gowdy leaving. There is not likely to be a candidate (in any district) as competent, smart, dedicated and, yes, even fair, as Mr. Gowdy. I have never heard him speak and not come away impressed. I don't blame him for going, but its a blow to those of us wanting something approaching a competent and productive Congress.

I like him.

He said he wants to get back to prosecuting bad guys...feels more at home in a court room...

Prolly the best mind among GOP members of the House Intel committee...made a name for himself in Congress with the endless investigations of Hillary (he did manage some unimpressive quotes during those hearings)...

and he says that Mueller should be allowed to complete his investigation...

Trump should make him Attorney General.
