What part of Chicago are you moving to?

This.
Are you moving to "Chicago" or Chicago?
The city claims a huge region, much larger than the city itself.
I am right downtown in the Loop. I moved from NE Kansas, sold a house on 10 acres and now have a 900 sq ft condo. There are buildings here with more people than my whole town so it’s a new world for me.

Oh, and knock the horse crap off your boots and hay outta your hair before going into town...
Adams Ribs..........don't forget the sauce and coleslaw.

Now that's funny right there!
Food, take your pick and you'll probably find it offered in downtown or very close nearby. It's a gastronomical smorgasbord of culinary treats. Be safe.
I couldn't do it.
I moved from a 400 sq ft apt on the southside Bridgeport area on 31st to 4 acres and 1200sq ft in northwest Indiana for a similar monthly payment. Would never go back. Can't argue good/bad for either, just totally different and this works better for me.
Can't help you much with downtown. Even when I lived in Chicago I avoided that area, stayed southside/suburbs
Iwan Ries & Co.---smokey, I've been a few times over the last few years, I like it enough.
Stop by Anderson Pens at the Palmer House, I will set you up with the correct writing instrument you need to further your career in the big city.
Don't move there. Downstate Illinois Boy born and bred. Got out of that armpit of a state 10 years ago. The only thing worse than Illinois as a whole is Chicago.
I love deep Southern Illinois where I grew up but the ridiculous politics of Chicago from ALL sides have ruined it
