Done with lobbying in Washington DC for increased VA benefits for today, so hanging out in Shelly's Back Room. Outrageous cigar prices but, interestingly, booze prices (for DC) are not out of line and, so long as you spend at least $20, they are fine with you bringing in you own smokes, which all the "regulars" do.

They are out of Elmer T., so having a nice Nob Creek with an Aging Room F55 I brought with me - same cigar costs $17 here!

Been by it a bunch of times but never went in because I’ve heard so many gripes about their prices and the way some have felt they were treated there. Maybe next time I’ll stop in.

Thanks for the nice words all. Not sure if will get much done on the VA front this session thanks to the craziness of Trump's nominee withdrawal. But had some good smokes good bourbon and rye and good conversations with other BOTLs.
