The EU imposed some retaliatory tariffs on the USA.
Now they have agreed to stop both...
And Trump is claiming victory by getting us back to square 1?

None of the news sources are providing any details on which tariffs, or whether anything is being improved over what it was before he started meddling.... So I call BS on the tariff thing until I get real info.

But, since we are giving him credit... Something no one mentioned here is that the Korean war remains are en route from South Korea. He actually got Kim Jong un to release then as an act of good faith. So kudos for that.

My understanding (and it is quite murky right now. No one seems to be laying the info out clearly and temporally) is that it isn't the original tariffs that are being removed. Just deescalation of the current trade war
