I am good with this. But I am confused. I thought the Posse Comitatus act made this illegal. Can anyone straighten this out for me?

I would think protecting the border from thousands of non-citizens trying to march through the front door would be a national security issue, thus would make it the domain of the military.

I know victor says equating them to invaders is simply a meme and has no relevance on reality, but I call BS on that... I haven't seen the memes, and don't need to have seen them to consider a bunch of foreigners waving their country flags on the way to our front gates an invasion.

The military cannot act as border enforcement. IE make arrests. They will be there as "support" only.

No nation could invade us by air.
the baggage fees alone would kill them.

Heard they are from Cape Horn, Chile. One way flights there. Make the next walk a bit longer next time.

I've softened my Machine Gun Nests and Landmines platform.

I've become a liberal.

Yes. IMO it is an illegal act under this law. But, trump is confused as to his powers under the constitution. Sounds like he is going to try and strike down the 14th amendment by executive order in the near future. So what's the difference to his administration? [ram27bat]

I believe Spey was asking about sending troops to the boarder not the use of Executive Order to revise the 14th Amendment.

Both boarder states and the POTUS have sent troops to the boarder many times in the past and that is not in question as far as it's legality.

Sorry.... This is bugging me.

BORDER goddammit! BORDER!!!!!

Multiple people have misspelled it... It isn't just one person, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was just a phone autocorrect issue. But it's driving me crazy when I see it over and over

Ok.... Carry on....

DED. I believe I answered Spey's question with this statement: "Yes. IMO it is an illegal act under this law. But, trump is confused as to his powers under the constitution." My comment about the 14th amendment was that I believe his administration could care less about what is legal under the constitution &/or the laws of this country as long as it fits into their agenda. Certainly, a straw-man argument and not unique to the Republican party. 🐴
