Ever wonder why so many well known cigar smokers have lived so long? Me either.

Actually, it's interesting to me.

Winston Churchill, Groucho Marx, George Burns, Milton Berle, Mark Twain and the oldtimer in this picture (oldest living WWII vet) - all lived into their 90's or better.

Good genes or good luck?

the reason is because it would take a million pages to list the names that didn't live as long.

George Burns and Mark Twain smoked cigars that were anything but good. Twain even bragged about how cheap and vile his cigars were.

I believe it was Mark Twain who was quoted as saying " If they do not allow cigars in Heaven I shall Not Go!" 🇨🇮

There have been studies. Once you drill down to the group classified as 1-5 cigars (or less) per day there appears statistically insignificant variation in longevity. There was one study that actually documented pipe smokers living longer than non smokers (The scientists rationalized maybe pipe smokers were a more mellow less stressed out cohort by nature and that it wasn't the smoking that made them live longer).

Maybe cigar smokers are happy people too that live longer in spite of smoking?

Now I've read it on the internet. It's fact. 5 cigars a day now is my new health and wellness plan

Well you could always figure the lifetime average. Have to make up for the first 20-30yrs or however long it took you to get to cigars
