Yuuuggge box hits the front stoop, Allen's return address is on it. He had warned me a "package" was en route. He understated the facts.

Inside, buried in thousands of packaging peanuts, I find a bottle of Sazerac Rye. I smile and think...so unnecessary, but a real good choice.

Reach back into the box, stir around, and lucky for me I did not toss it out cuz I pulled out another bottle. This time Eagle Rare 10 Y.O. bourbon. Simply a great bottle, and I think about what a crazy generous place we have here.

Now, askeered to toss the box out, I pour out the packing material and much to my amazement there's yet one more bottle. This one is Weller Special Reserve! Haven't even seen a bottle of anything Weller in a few years around here!

Allen, it is my duty to tell you, you are not well. But you are great.
I can't thank you enough but I'll try.
