He would certainly like to be, in terms of dividing the nation... But that pesky metal detector of a government we have keeps kicking out the policies aimed at doing so... Durned checks and balances...

It makes me sad that the middle ground has become a minefield.
I feel that blame must be put on us the voters and non-voters.
As citizens of this country we've been lazing in our duties to our republic.
How often do people choose to not participate in even the simplest and easiest way citizens can participate (i.e. voting and severing on juries)?
Brave men and women have given everything to establish and maintain these rights only for most to just throw them away like yesterday's news.
