Does anyone have any comments on which cigar they prefer, American barrel-aged or Nicaraguan barrel-aged?

Perdomo Barrel Aged Maduros are spectacular.

Not Camacho, but definitely worth a try.

One of my favorites

Oh, yeah, and thanks a ton for burning down the whole F'n city of Chicago way back when.

What the fucque were you thinking? You knew what that cow was capable of! Yet, you did nothing. NOTHING.

Just sat back and waited for the inevitable. You shoulda killed that cow the day you got it. You know that, don't you?

You know how much heartache, pain and destruction you caused? Do you even give a fucque???

Hope you're proud of yourself!!!

You can take that fine barrel-aged stick and shove it up your azz!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🤬

Oh, That's OK OLeary.

Lost a portion of my family in that fire, so I'm a bit touchy.

But as long as you're sorry, I'll let it go.

Enjoy your smokes!

The Camacho AMERICAN Barrel Aged is a great cigar. IMO the best current Camacho out there. It is rich, dark, and complex with great tobacco and different evolving flavors throughout. Changes constantly during the burn and burns great. Now, at no point smoking it do I ever think: "That tastes like bourbon." It doesn't, but the aging sure imparts an amazing flavor.

One of the best things is that - unlike a number of other Camacho offerings - this one has (so far) remained as good as the OR. I have noticed no drop-off in quality or flavor. Hope this stays the same.

The Nicaraguan ones, not so much. They are good, but milder, not as flavorful or interesting.

I have not had the Perdamo barrel aged, but plan to soon.

I went to Hospital Corps School in San Diego with a David O'Leary, back in 1971.

He said it was his grandmother's cow that started the fire . . . 🤔 but then gain, I suppose EVERY O'Leary claims that.

I've had both of the Camacho Barrel Aged cigars, and thought the American was better than the Nicaraguan...both good cigars...that said, I didn't think either was so good that I bought more than the first fiver of each...there are other $5-6 cigars I like better...

You can get them for cheaper than that if patient around here or at other sites as well.

Also just ordered several Perdamo bourbon barrel aged singles of different styles from a certain PAGE, to see how they compare. Got those for $3.74/$3.87 each free shipping. Not bad I don't think when buying singles.

I like the American but I have not had the Nicaraguan. It is a different flavor but full of flavor. And there's some on Monster this morning

Just had one of the Perdamo Bourbon Barrel Sun Growns picked up from the Tenskie place. It was a very good smoke. Not as strong or as intense as the Camacho, but far more complex and flavorful than any other Perdamo I have had. Lots of lovely great smelling smoke, perfect burn, great draw burned a good long time. Nutty, a bit of spice at times, some natural sweetness, coffee and cocoa pop up in the 2nd half. Unlike the Camacho, there are times where I could definitely pick-up the bourbon-ish flavors, although it was often more like a port wine than strong bourbon. At under $3.90 a cigar as a single with shipping, it was well worth it and I recommend people check it out.

That being said, if had to choose only one, I still prefer the Camacho American overall. It is stronger, darker, denser with more powerful complex flavors (interestingly though, with the Camacho American, at no point do I ever think: "There's the bourbon flavor!"). However, if I was wanting a lighter smoke, or something I did not want overpowering my food or beverage, than the Perdamo would be the choice.
