do ya'll think it is a good thing if your sig. other sits down and smokes with you or is that just odd? What about other woman that you dont know and happen to see them smoking is it good or weird? (E-CHICK your cool anyway)

This is a subject that has been an interest of mine for some time as searching old posts would reveal ... you may or may not be aware that during what is known as the "boom", many cigar stores featured "women's nights" an all-female herf where women could explore cigars in a less than threatening environment ... I found that interesting, but didn't pay too much attention to it . Then, about a year and a half ago, while we were on vacation, MrsS went with me into a local store where she decided to buy a small flavored cigar on a lark ... and found she rather enjoyed it ... she has continued to smoke cigars on a regular, although infrequent basis since then and has her own humidor. Earlier this year, she and I were in a local store near our home and I observed that of the six customers in the store at the time, all besides me were women, all of whom were buying for themselves ... what struck me most was that all were quite attractive women rather than a stereotype image one might have of hardened big-rig drivers or biker mammas ... since then, and as recently as yesterday, I've observed so many attractive women buying cigars that I've posted in this forum asking why others might think this to be the case ... most respondents don't seem to have seen as many women buyers as I have, but quite a few have quietly admitted their wives or SOs sneak a puff or two now and then ...
Maybe Trish from CI/CB will see this and offer her input and observations ... I know she does a bit of cigar smoking from time to time ... tell us whacha think about this from a womans perspective, will you Trish? ... e-Chick, if you're around, feel free to join in too, won't you??

I can't speak for other women, but I smoke cigars for similar reasons as men do. It's nice to sit down, relax and enjoy a tasty smoke. I have to admit that I don't enjoy some of the cigars that you guys gush over, but I have advanced from flavored cigars and Acids.

I smoked cigarettes as a teen and quit about 21 years ago. Whatever they added to those cigarettes made it tough to quit, but I find that I can enjoy a cigar or not....nothing addictive there (except maybe the sitting and relaxing part.)

Man Dan! To have my significant other enjoy a cigar with me (not referring to Clinton/Lewenski!) would be awesome. It's also attractive to watch a lady light one up, but that is my humble opinion. Have a great day.

I don't find it attractive for a woman to smoke a cigar. Nor do I find it unattractive. If she wants to smoke let her. My one friend who does smoke cigars is a woman.

I would not like it if my wife smoked though. I spend plenty already on cigars. Also, I wouldn't want my wife smoking mine.

Can't help ya. Still working on whether they should have the right to vote.

I now have to get some more Bucanero classico maduros' because my SO is in love with them. In the past she has smoked 3 cigars in 3.5 years. It took her that long to find one she liked.
