Rfenst, the problem with media execs running for politics is that they have control of their own scrutiny much to the same effect as a government ran newspaper like the Russian's "Pravda" or others. It's basically the breeding ground for totalitarianism.

Wow!!! I wasn't going to step into a discussion of what Bloomberg does, but ignorance is no excuse for being wrong.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."

That's from the constitution in. Bloomberg would be excersising his right to freedom of speech.

Russia under Putin is a Autocracy. Actually your desire to infringe on Bloombergs freedom of speech makes you someone with Totalitarian characteristics.
