two easy conclusions about Dem strategy:

they really don't consider Sanders one of them (again) as his stances are just too far beyond the positions where their large mostly silent left/centrist membership resides.
and
they truly believe, whether or not he'd be a competent POTUS, that Biden is the only one who could possibly beat Trump...and that is the goal for them.

fo sho...many libs, like all cons, think Bernie is too radical for America...but he does appeal to an emerging segment of the electorate...

but he's too old now to make another run in the next election cycle when their numbers could make a difference...and given the mortality of the silent left/centrist membership...
