Italy shut down today, basically only supermarkets and pharmacies are all that is open.

Is this the beginning for the world wide model? Maybe they are doing the right thing. This scares me. I would rather die free than live in a world ran by big brother. Perhaps I am over reacting.

we're gonna face similar decisions soon... event planners across the US have already cancelled concerts, sporting events, and other public gatherings...the next Dem debate will be televised without a live audience...

the number of confirmed cases in The US appears to be increasing exponentially, even without mass testing...those numbers of infected peeps will swell as soon as mass testing starts...numbers of deaths continue rising...

without vaccine, there isn't any effective way to stop the spread of the virus except for extreme "social distancing" ie. strict quarantine ... it will not be a permanent quarantine...at least 2-3 three weeks, possibly a few more...

I think if we did something like that I still will have to go into work. I would love for them to force me to stay home for a few weeks. I got a few projects I need to get done.

Around here many doctor's offices have signs that say if you have symptoms or think you have the coronavirus then go home. Do not come into the office. And do not go to the ER or urgent care. Unless you have heart or respiratory issues.

Basically, if you get it they want you home in bed.
And to keep away from the next person.
So they don't get it and will have to stay home in bed.

Dont worry.......its a nothing burger!
The flu kills more people every year, as does several other diseases.

Everyone is over reacting.......heck.....China has already rid itself of this wimpy virus.
No worries...

Carry on...

I was at Costco yesterday around noon, every cart - EVERY cart had at least a big pack of TP and many had paper towels as well.

Me? I had whisky, wine, a case of sparkling water and some nuts.

My wife and I are now both in retail and we interact with many everyday, we are cautiously concerned and are taking every precaution including washing and wiping down common surfaces is about all we can do at this point.

Maybe I should have bought TP.......
