I thought he was promoting UV and disinfectants or at least that's what I saw and heard.

I remember Trump identifying new cure hydroxychloroquine and then Lysol and Clorox and UV lights...

don't recall Trump ever mentioning remdesivir...but recent tests that were happening as he was pushing hydroxychloroquine look promising...

An early trial of Remdesivir looked pretty good and there is a current larger trial now underway here in the states. Maybe we will get lucky.

It's not a cure, but it has been found to help if given early enough to those that get the virus. We got lucky, but will there be a supply problem and are there any side effects ?
Will Trump claim he found it (on cigar bid forums).

Not really. Read the study or the summary. Though it is good news.

Laura Ingram seemed pissed about it. Not sure what her angle is but she’s all in on the malaria drugs. It's as if she wants one to fail and the other to work. Who cares which one works. I'm rooting for either or both but think neither will be a miracle. Weird.

I for one will be a lot happier when public "happy hour" returns in full swing...and hot strange gash is on display again...all horned up and ready to bang "ad hoc"...

Until then,

it's not a cure, but it does cut the recovery time by four days for those who are hospitalized...

if I heard correctly, Fauci seemed to be saying the better news is that it indicates that we have now learned that there can be an effective medicine developed.
Prior to this, it was still just hope that this virus could be dealt with with medicine.

Ingram is a moron, but let's not forget all the libs who relished in the news when Trumps cure du juor was revealed to be failing. Even on these boards.

two strange takes in a row, Joe.

1- No one (except Ingraham?) would be inhuman enough to root against a cure or a preventive. No one.
Very few would be so hard core partisan nor as petty as to root against one either. Maybe due to mental illness, not due to an upcoming election.

But because Presidentin' (do) Be Hard, many would take this opportunity to denigrate a potus for handling the news of the other now well known medication the way he did. Perhaps it was meant to give hope, I'm trying to make sense of his actions, but was ill advised and impetuous to be kind. So the barbs that bother you are being tossed at his behavior, not hoping for the unthinkable to happen to the population.

You're above that kind of shot at opposing opinion.

2- as for your Fauci position, you're way off the mark.

Four GOP and 2 Dem POTUS's (and the libs you speak for ...yet again tail?) accepted his brilliance and dedication to serve, and had confidence in his ability to do a job only concerned with the health of all US citizens and not elections...until your guy won. The ultimate my way or the highway guy.

Fauci is no Liberal champ, for sure he had a great moment when all he could do was lower his eyes and shake his head as one would at a child's repeated bad behavior, but only a Trump Explain Awayer would entertain the thought that Fauci has a political ax to grind. You may know his partisan beliefs, but that's because you have that weird Super Power to see into the minds of Liberals that others do not possess. I'm less certain and certainly less concerned if Fauci is a Dem or Rep. I want him to tell us the truth without a menacing shadow hanging over him.

So, who do you think is more likely to tell you the truth...Trump or Fauci?
