I'm just venting, this is not directed at anyone here. This is directed at the whole damn country.

Liberals,
STFU, rioting and looting destroyed the legitimacy of your protest. Also, all cops aren't murderers and racists. The ones that are would have been no matter what their career was. And they are really bad evil people.

Conservatives,
STFU, 1 human life is worth more than any amount of rioting and looting. Protesters aren't rioters and looters. The ones that are would riot and loot whatever they were doing when the opportunity presents itself. And they are really bad evil people.

His name was George Floyd.

very little looting and rioting now...

thanks to good policing in many areas that moved some resources initially used to monitor, control and intimidate protesters and deployed them to rapid response teams to arrest looters

but peaceful protests are on-going, requiring minimal police presence and have spread to Europe

protesters weren't rioting and looting Allen.

true...opportunist crooks and local scum looking for freebies while the cops were busy...

but it didn't help that the first few days at many demonstrations, people in the crowds of protesters threw rocks and bottles at the cops...

don't know if any were doing it in coordination with looters

but shortly after the message intended got out peacefully

What does "he wasn't a good man" have anything to do with the horrible manner by which he was unnecessarily killed?

It was horrible... but he was not a model citizen... does his face deserve to be on tee shirts..?? How many cops have died in the past couple weeks because of this man..?? Are they gonna have their faces on tee shirts..??😟

Karma will get you for speaking ill of the dead. No cops have died in the past couple of weeks because of Mr. Floyd - if anyone is to blame it's because of bad cops like the 4 charged in Mr. Floyd's murder.

He is the face/image of a new movement, which could become to be as important in history as the movement set off by Rosa Parks. No one is sanctifying him in any way. His life is not relevant. His death is what this is all about to people. You want cop faces on t-shirts? Go ahead and print them up!

I think you know exactly why they are protesting.

But, like Trump may pretend we don’t have a problem with systemic racism.
Except for those our mexican judges, of course ...

Ok so there's systemic racism in the USA and rampant police brutality against blacks... this is the best guy they could come up with to be their martyr?

I'm sure there's someone else that would be a better symbol to rally around for the cause.

They already have a whole lot of choices. Why would you be critical of who they chose? That seems rather pointless to me. Either you agree with them or you don't. Though there is a fact there. Police murdered George Floyd. I don't particularly care about him as a person. I do care that a man who in no way was endangering their lives was murdered.

Maybe we should wait and let bad cops kill more black people until we find one that you think is a better fit. Perhaps there might even be better images of abuse than the two or more films that show how he was killed. Now, if anyone can convince me that the cause is not worthy, may God bless him.

Is James earl Jones still alive? I'd for sure riot if cops murdered him...
