I've been on the receiving end of a gift from Buckwheat in the past. I started to think about paying it back but after seeing his end, I realized that it any attempt would be fruitless (besides, he doesn't do things like this as a competition). Best I could do was to offer a heartfelt thank you. He's on a level of his own.

rfenst, I'm sure he's considered that. I suppose I wouldn't blame him for not putting his return address on the package. I just come from a line where you do things for people because you want to, not with the expectation of getting something in return. I like to do nice things for people. I did ask for his address too, although I guess the reason he didn't respond with it tells me he doesn't want anything in return for his kindness.

Bucky, so you're saying I'm pretty much screwed....lol! I'm always grateful for anything anyone does for me, and like to return the favor, not out of obligation, but because I like to. I've found lovers of the leaf to be among the kindest, most generous, selfless people out there. We all love the same thing, and that unites us.

He, and it sounds like you too, like to do things just because that's what you do. I wouldn't say you're screwed, he's not out to screw anyone or make it a competition. He's just being him.

When it comes to cigars, he's probably forgot more than most people will ever know. As a point of reference, my son turned 15 this year. In his gift to me were some cigars that are illegal to import that were older than my son... and these are his "give away" cigars.

Many people here like to do RISKing. They do it because they can and probable enjoy it as much as being on the receiving end. Buckwheat is one such individual, but few if any here are in his league.

Bucky, sorry when I said screwed, I wasn't meaning it in a negative way, just in a way that I probably will be treated well, but won't be able to reciprocate. I appreciate good people, and I get such joy out of giving, moreso than receiving (my wife can attest to that, lol!).

Oh ok....I try to be so careful with how I type things. It's hard to gauge the tone of something when it's written and not spoken. And I'd hate for someone to think I'm an a-hole, lol!
