I think the country average is 78... not positive, though.

he's getting pressure to re-open parts of the state...prolly waiting for two consecutive weeks of downward trending numbers for infection and hospitalization rates...seems with the average age of infected people dropping below 40, fewer people are dying...seems some don't care if they get it

he was blamed for re-opening too soon last time when there was a surge within weeks of his decision to do so...

it's gonna happen again...no win situation trying to protect the public health while saving businesses...virus isn't going away and we'll be playing this peek-a-boo game until there's a vaccine

and we'll prolly see a dramatic rise in numbers end of Oct or November, when the time changes and the weather cools

if we open a large county with lower numbers, then masses of people from other areas will visit, bringing the virus with them...think that's part of the strategy for putting more counties on the watch list with restrictions

330+ Million people in the USA. 5.6 million cases... 175k deaths.

It is my belief we'd be much better served protecting the elderly, opening the country, and allowing everyone else to decide for themselves. YMMV

We're number one already MACS -no need to invite ebola to the game.

April revisited

Death totals are not the single definition of the cost of long term medical care we have not yet accounted for among younger people who did not die.

We should see a drop off in cases around November 4.

If you're waiting for an effective vaccine to protect you, you'll be playing isolation and peek-a-boo for a looooong time. Better stock up on toilet paper and MREs.

Who ever said she is african-American? She describes herself as "Black". So, if one chooses to be more racially accurate is Jamaican-American and Indian-American, but it is for her to decide how she identifies herself. Besides, what does she have to do with covid?

Not sure it has anything to do with how she identifies... has more to do with how she's identified... i don't personally care, but I do enjoy watching the progressives try and figure out the pc words to describe her... If we subscribe to the scientific model of things, we can technically all identify as African American...

This is a no win situation. Open the economy and watch covid crumble it. Stay isolated and watch the economy crumble. I am far more worried about the long term health issues. Also if someone had covid and developed a long term health issue which a non negligable amount do, they now are in a high risk group.

Also don't assume a high efficacy vaccine is on the way. We may never developed one. Though there are a few really good concepts out there. Synthetic antibodies may be the solution if one can be developed that has longevity.

How’s the cure for the common cold going?

What’s the success rate on the flu vaccine?

Why haven't we heard anything about Ivermectin?? This is the first I have heard of it.

CDC slacking off because of the policy of the demon-rats and big pharma company's, dragging their feet, in hope of getting power back. With the help of the lame news. What ever you do they won't tell you about it,they don't care.

You haven't heard anything about ivermectin because it isn't likely to be effective.

Looks like in vivo doses required to achieve the effects in vitro are much too high. So it isn't likely to require pursuing.

Of course, given the date the article about it's effectiveness, you could also say that we never heard anything because at that time trump was busy pushing the also ineffective HCL "cure".... So ask Twitler why he didn't push this drug (guessing he doesn't have any friends involved in the manufacture).

I thought the Covid Wars of 2020 were over.

Since they're not I'd like to report my trip to several "Covid-Hotspots" a week ago. It was tragic. There were bodies all alongside of the road, crashed cars, hospitals overflowing. That democratic strategists prediction was correct, it was just like Shermans March to the sea. Georgia! The horror!

Hockey Dad was also correct about there only being a handful of people left in the entire state, and that's why their COVID numbers trickle in slowly. They just don't have the manpower anymore, since most of them died bc they didn't make masks mandatory!

The experts were right too. I should have listened. But the prospect of having the beach to myself most of the time (that part is true) was just too much to pass up. I gave in and lemme tell you, I am lucky to be alive!
