Oh... can anyone explain to me what "military grade" means? I mean... I spent 20 years of my life in the military and I was never told what it means. We had pistols and rifles. They were pretty much exactly like anything you can buy in stores with ONE exception. The M-16 or M-4 had a selector switch that allowed for 3 round burst or full auto. Full auto meaning it would deplete your 30 round magazine in short order... which nobody ever used. EVAH!

I always felt Howitzers and M1 Abrams were military grade. I'll concede they're probably not necessary for home defense, hunting, etc. Would be a blast at the range though

Military Grade = regular items spectacularly overpriced for sale to the government providing a dole to industry.

I think it means the way the current laws are written what is legal and not requiring registration today can unilaterally change tomorrow not based on legislation but administrative fiat requiring not only registration but a $200 tax stamp or risk nasty felony charges. If a friend I know hypothetically has a brace on his scorpion evo with an ATF letter saying it is a brace not a stock thus doesn't need an NFA stamp without any notice warning or even official action my friend could be a potential felon tomorrow and not know it.
